Candle Selections
Reviewer: Rick and Miranda
This is the best body wax candle we have found on the market! You won’t believe
it until you try it. The wax is made of soy and hemp based, all natural
products that melt at about body temperature. This candle has a 3-in-1
purpose; burn it for its pleasing aroma, use the oil on dry skin (perfect
for knees, elbows, and heals), or use it as a massage oil. The oil
will not turn back into wax after rubbing it onto the skin. It provides
a glide able surface to give your mate a much needed rub down and
soaks into the skin. Just towel off the top layer of excess oil as
needed and you are good to go. Available in 6oz tins: Naked in the
Woods, Skinny Dip, Lavender, Squeezed, Cucumber Melon. Home for the
Holidays pack: Hot Chocolate and Sugar Cookie (3oz each). Available
in 4oz heart shaped tins: Breakfast in Bed, Bubbly in the Bath, Skinny
Dip, Naked in the Woods (limited time offer).

Fabric/Materials
These candles are simply wonderful and versatile! It can be used as
a candle, massage oil, or moisturizer for dry areas like your legs,
shoulders, elbows, and knees. They are made from 100% natural/Vegan/non-toxic
soy, hemp oil and vitamin E. It burns 30-35% cleaner than regular
candles, uses renewable agricultural resources, is made in the USA,
has about a 10 hour per ounce burn time and is environmentally friendly,
no air emissions.
How to use it A candle doesn’t need instructions, just burn it. When the wax turns to liquid, use it to give your partner a much-needed massage or treat your skin to its wonderful hydrating botanicals. The oil is very nice for massages, as it does not turn back into a wax once on the body, like some other massage candles we have tried. It stays moist and the heat of your body keeps it that way until it soaks in to pamper your skin with softness. Once you’re done rubbing it on the skin, it doesn’t feel at all greasy and soaks in very well. The scents of the candles are not over powering like some candles are. They are very soft and refreshing. Below are brief descriptions of the “aromaflavors” we offer.
Hot chocolate:
This was not one of my favorites by just smelling it out of the tin, but when it is lit, it provides a gentle hint of chocolate in the air, which is pure love coming from this chocoholic.
Sugar Cookie:
When walking into the room, you would swear grandma was making Christmas
cookies. Smells good enough to eat (but don’t J/K).
Squeezed:
This smells of a deep citrus fruit, like orange or grapefruit.
Lavender:
I’m not a big fan of lavender products as most of the time they are too strong and over powering for my taste. However, once it got burning, it wasn’t too bad, even for my sensitive nose.
Naked in the woods:
This candle has a clean, crisp scent. It is very hard to describe what it smells like exactly, we just know we like it.
Skinny Dip:
The aroma of this candle is very smooth and clean as well, with maybe an almond undertone. It is by far my favorite scent, in any of the products.
Cucumber melon:
This smells like many of the other “melon” products that are made, but gentle and calming.
Bubbly in the Bath:
This smells very sweetly of strawberries and crème. Perfect for those who have a sweet tooth, or nose in this case.
Breakfast in Bed:
This also smells sweet, similar to that of Sugar Cookie, but with
more of a brown sugar/vanilla scent. It might even have a very light
scent of coffee, but definitely not strong on the coffee smell.
Recommendations
If you are worried about having burning candles in your home due to
pets or children, try using the warming plate we offer. It gives you
the scent without having to worry about an open flame. It melts the
wax very quickly and releases the aroma just as it would when burning.
The wax will quickly turn completely into a liquid, so it’s a good
idea to make sure the wick is standing up (versus laying down) in
the wax as it will become buried when the wax turns solid again, if
you plan to burn it at some point. Using the burner will dissipate
the scent out of the candle even though the wax doesn’t seem to disappear
as it does when you actually burn it, but it doesn’t seem to do it
at a significant different rate than burning. It’s just that it looks
like you have a brand new candle because all the wax is still there,
but it doesn’t smell as strong. Also, turning on a ceiling fan low
seems to help it circulate through the rooms better. Most of the time,
I will let the candle turn to complete oil and then shut it off and
the smell lasts for the rest of the day. But you will seem to notice
it more when you leave the room and then come back in, versus smelling
it the whole time as it is a gentle smell.
Special care instructions
When actually burning the candles, you should take care to trim the
wick before each burn as it tends to fray slightly at the end. Then
it may drop small black pieces into your wax as it burns down if you
don’t trim before the next burn. This will get in the way of using
the wax for massage or moisture purposes. Each candle comes with its
own little spoon great for dipping in the warm wax to be used for
a massage or moisturizer. |
