This chic black and red jacquard corset is sure to add a little spice to your wardrobe, inside or outside of the bedroom. The straps and panels down the sides of the bodice stretch to ensure a comfortable fit. It has a hook and eye closure in the front and laces in both directions in the back, the way a proper corset should. This allows the wearer to get a customized fit. Sizes: 32, 34, 36, 38. Color: Black and red (only).

Fabric/Materials

This red and black corset has a beautiful jacquard print, which is 58% viscose (a particular way to process rayon) and 42% polyester. The other fabrics include 87% nylon and 13% spandex. Except for the 2 black panels that run vertical up the bodice, over the breasts and making the straps, the beautiful shimmering red flowers envelop this corset. The fabric is very soft and silky with just enough stretch that allows it to feel like a second skin. Inside the garment is a soft mesh-like material that feels nice against bare skin. The boning that gives the corset its shape is very flexible, so it doesn't dig or bunch, like some other corsets I've tried.

How it wears

It falls to the top of the hips with just a gentle point at the front. It laces up the back and has small hook and eye fasteners in the front. The unique design to having it lace from the top down and the bottom up (meeting in the middle) allows the wearer to get a better fit, since all women are not built the same. When it was laced to my level of comfort, there was a little bit of skin showing through the laces. At first it felt a little snug, but then again, corsets are made to feel that way, and once I was accustomed to its fit, I enjoyed it. It was very comfortable and both my husband and I enjoyed the way it made my curves jump out in all the right places. Once you get the corset fitting how you want to wear it, make sure to "fluff" the goods to top off the look. To do this, bend over slightly and pull up on your breasts, making them move to the top of the corset. Also make sure the top is pulled tight enough that it will keep them in place. You may have to adjust them periodically.

Recommendations

A word of advice in wearing this piece is to work the laces in the back a little at a time until you get it to your ideal comfort, putting it on and taking it off until it fits the way you want (unless you have someone who can "lace you up"). Once you have it where you want it, you shouldn't have to re-lace it because you will use the hook and eyes in the front for dressing purposes. Also, when attempting to fasten the hook and eye closures in the front, work from the middle up and/or down, as it gets a little tricky due to the small size of the closures. This way, the middle is the tightest point and will ensure it stays fastened, rather than slowly come undone as you attempt to fasten the others. Also since they are smaller than some, you don't necessarily need to see the hook and eyes in order to fasten them. It was pretty easy to just hit or miss, as it may be.

Special care instructions

To best care for this piece, hand wash it in cold water using mild soap. It is best to let it drip dry and not wring or twist it due to the boning structure. Dry cleaning and/or ironing are not recommended.
