The hem is very asymmetrical, showing off the legs or cascading over your favorite pair of jeans or skirt. The bodice is embellished with a double dose of ribbon lacing. Fabric/Materials

Nothing about this piece is "sheer". It is actually made from materials that could be worn out in public, made from 95% polyester and 5% spandex. It hugs the curves, but not so tight that it accentuates flaws. It has two rows of lace ribbons criss-crossing down each breast beginning at the top and ending at the top of the skirt. The satin ribbons are wide and help distract from the fitted ness of the top. It is a strapless, tube type chemise with a flirty, asymmetrical skirt.

How it wears

This piece doesn't have straps, so it has to hug the chest to remain in place. It does not have shelf bra lining, but the stretchiness of the fabric helps to hold it in place, as long as there are breasts there for it to hug to. The medium had a nice snug fit to it, but didn't accentuate my extras in the middle. The ribbons are larger in size than usual and lace downwards, tying in long bows on either side. It runs directly over the center of the breasts and there is material under the laces, so as no skin shows. The skirt on the bottom is VERY asymmetrical and a little "different" than anything I've seen before, but that adds to its charm. In the front, the skirt is short at the left and then dips down and then back up slightly before ending up with a longer "tail" on the right. The material then ends and starts again going around the back. It is then short on the right side and long on the left side along the back end. This way you have a short side as well as the hanging "tail" on both sides of the body that can be seen from the front. The dip in the front fully covers the underwear and rests just at the top of the thigh, but the cheeks peek out from under the skirt slightly in the rear.

The thong has stretchy skinny strings on the hips, but has material through the seat and ends in a small triangle at the rear. With the top on, only about ½ inch of the hip straps can be seen, the rest is completely hidden. The thong is very comfortable and I would consider wearing it on a regular basis with anything.

Recommendations

The material is stretchy, but may not be ideal for women with small breasts, as it may not stay in place very well. Consider if you are able to wear/ look good in a tube top or strapless top before deciding if this piece is for you. The cut of the skirt seems to be exactly the same piece, only sewn on exact opposite from the front to the back. The laces running vertically up the front give it a corset-type look, but it is more for decoration than for fit. You don't really have to adjust it for fit, only to even out the ribbons as needed.

I would describe this piece as the lingerie version of the little black dress. It can be worn in the bedroom or out to dinner or a club, with a skirt or pair of pants. It is versatile and a little bit off the beaten path, but sensual in a non-alarming, skin baring way. Unless showing off your shoulders is considered exposing too much skin.

Special care instructions

It is recommended to hand wash this piece in cold water using non-chlorine bleach when needed. Do not wring or twist it and line dry. It can be ironed on a low temperature as needed. Since it is spandex, it probably won't require a lot of ironing, just make sure to flatten out the ribbons and ensure the elastic at the top doesn't roll down. The panties can be machine washed on cold in the gentle cycle and line dried.
